Parent Education offered by Child Advocacy Resource and Education (c.a.r.e.)

The Nurturing Program for Parents with Children 0-4 years old

-         A 12-week program focusing on a child development for parents of children 0-4 years old. Educators show parents how to build a childs self-awareness, self-worth and empathy for others. Other topics include discipline with dignity, family roles, child development and expectations.

The Nurturing Parent Program for Parents with Children 4-12 years old

-          A 12-week program focusing on a child development for parents of children 5-12 years old. Educators show parents how to build a childs self-awareness, self-worth and empathy for others. Other topics include discipline with dignity, family roles, child development and expectations.

-          Childrens Program offered

RETHINK Anger Management for Parents  

-        A 4-week program that teaches parents how to manage their response to their childrens challenging behavior. This class will also help parents to understand child development, recognize anger triggers, and learn techniques to help increase positive parenting.

Parenting Your Teen

-        A 4-week program that helps parents develop a better understanding of adolescence and more effective methods of interacting with their teen on a daily basis.

-       Childrens Program is not available

Co-Parenting after Divorce- English and Spanish Version

-        English version of this class meets the 2^nd Saturday of each month.  This is a 4 hour workshop that teaches divorcing parents the skills needed to help their family through the difficult challenges of divorce. This class does meet the court requirements for divorcing parents.

-          Spanish version of this class meets the 3^rd Saturday of each month.

-          No Childrens Program available

Strengthening Latino Families- English and Spanish Version

-       10 week program that focuses on the values of Latino families. This class teaches parents skills such as communicating with their children, setting limits, and building self esteem. It also gives parents skills on how to communicate with their children about difficult subject matter, such as sex.

-          Childrens Program offered.

-        Parenting for Teens

-         A 4-week program focused on teaching teenage parents about dealing with being a teen parent, child brain development, and parenting skills.
